DREDGER CRISTOBAL COLON

In La Naval shipyard (Bilbao, Spain), the largest dredger in the world has been built for the belgian shipowner Jan de Nul.

In the automatic system of bilges aspiration, 22 ECON valves were fitted, actuated by CENTORK multiturn hydraulic Actuators.

Due to the location of these valves in the boat, they can be totally submerged for long periods.

The multiturn hydraulic Actuators from CENTORK have been selected for the actuation of valves which are to be fitted on deck or on bilge of the ships, where the reliability of the valve actuation in sea water submersion is crucial.

An example of this are the 150 LNGC ships with cryogenic valves for loading/unloading, with CENTORK hydraulic Actuators installed on deck.
