PNEUMATIC MULTITURN ACTUATOR

Our distributor in Chile, INTERFLUID from Santiago, requested from our engineering department, a multiturn Actuator with Pneumatic supply and with CENTRONIK Modulating control.

CENTORK manufactures Multiturn Actuators with hydraulic and pneumatic supply, as well as electric Actuators, and is known world-wide for its Hydraulic multiturn actuators actuating the valves loading and unloading of liquefied natural gas in LNGC ships.

This new actuators should control the position of a globe valve ANSI 600, stainless steel, which is fitted in a new by-pass of protection in the main pressure line towards the filters of a desalination plant, found in Antofagasta (Northern Chile).

The CENTRONIK Modulating unit positions the Actuator according to a 4/20 mA input signal, opening/shutting a 5/3 solenoid valve, and comparing the real position reached via the electronic position transmitter 4/20 mA of the actuator.

The advantages of the Pneumatic multi-turn actuation are the reliability and flexibility of the pneumatic motor, allowing an accurate control in multiple positions.

It doesn ́t heat up, the starting, the stopping, the change of direction are instantaneous, even at full load and 100% of the starting torque is available. The advantages of the Pneumatic actuation in Modulating Actuators are evident.
